Recent elections held in Ghana have been described by world leaders as peaceful, free, fair and transparent, which has added to overseas investor confidence.

The delegation led by the French Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Frederick Clavier called the Vice-President, Mr Kwesi  Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, at the Flagstaff House, saying “ I want to stress the satisfaction of France about your election which was transparent, free and fair.”

He went on further to say how Ghana had made significant progress in stability and created a lot of opportunity, particulary, in recent years, for foreign investments.



Mr Clavier focused on the bonds of friendship they share, particularly, in the areas of  education, trade, health and agriculture.

 “ we have the capacity to invest more in Ghana.” he said.

He expressed confidence in the ability of the Mahama administration to create an environment where foreign investors can invest to improve the country’s economic  standing, ” saying, “we will establish high profile dialogue to exchange views and promote peace and stability.”

The opportunity was taken to congratulate President John Mahama, on his election win, adding that “Ghana is on track politically, socially and economically.”

“I am promoting  your country to France and they are sure Ghana will make it work,” he said
The Vice-President sees  the gesture as an opportunity to enhance  the co-operation “that affects our two countries in security, trade, and the economy as a whole.” he said.

President Mahama is confident of the progress the country can make, saying, “ we will remain progressive in our quest to advance our democratic gains.”
